Dynamical screening effects on big bang nucleosynthesis

چکیده
Abstract A moving ion in plasma creates a deformed electric potential depending on the velocity, which leads to distinct screening effect compared standard static Salpeter formula. In this paper, adopting test charge method, we explore dynamical effects big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN). We find that high temperature early universe causes velocity be faster than solar condition so is effectively polarized. However, low density of background components significantly suppresses thermonuclear reaction rates during BBN epoch. compare our results with several for fusion considering effects. Also, discuss additional properties other astrophysical sites possible expansion from present calculation future.

متن کاملAssessing Big-Bang nucleosynthesis.
Systematic uncertainties in the light-element abundances and their evolution make a rigorous statistical assessment difficult. However, using Bayesian methods we show that the following statement is robust: the predicted and measured abundances are consistent with 95% credibility only if the baryon-to-photon ratio is between 2× 10 and 6.5× 10 and the number of light neutrino species is less tha...
متن کاملBig Bang Nucleosynthesis Calculation
I review standard big bang nucleosynthesis and some versions of nonstandard BBN. The abundances of the primordial isotopes D, He-3, and Li-7 produced in standard BBN can be calculated as a function of the baryon density with an accuracy of about 10%. For He-4 the accuracy is better than 1%. The calculated abundances agree fairly well with observations, but the baryon density of the universe can...
متن کاملTesting Big Bang Nucleosynthesis
Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN), along with the cosmic background radiation and the Hubble expansion, is one of the pillars of the standard, hot, big bang cosmology since the primordial synthesis of the light nuclides (D, He, He, Li) must have occurred during the early evolution of a universe described by this model. The overall consistency between the predicted and observed abundances of the li...
